Abdhidhamma is the deepest aspect of Buddhist learning.　It is inseparable from all Buddhist traditions.　It presents the perspectives of seeing from the viewpoints of enlightened beings, be it the Buddha himself, the realized Bodhisattvas, or Arahats.　The Theravada tradition of Abhidharma presents the view of an Arahat who has fully realized the selfless nature of persons.　The Mahayana tradition adds to it the understanding of the selfless nature of all phenomena. These two lectures will expound how the analytical meditation of the Therevada tradition can be combined with the emphasis of non-discriminative knowledge thought in the Mahayana tradition. 　The Yogacara school as taught in the tradition of Xuan zang, indeed, combines the two approaches in one coherent whole.

阿毘達磨呈現佛法學習中深層的一面，它是所有佛教傳承不可分割的一部分。它呈 現的是覺悟者的深入觀察：所謂覺者，是指佛陀本人、實證的菩薩或阿羅漢。南傳 佛教的阿毘達磨說明已經完全體證人無我的阿羅漢的觀慧，而北傳佛教則增加了一 切現象（一切法）無我的理解。 這兩天的講座，將闡述如何將兩者思想結合在一起：南傳佛教的析空禪修與北傳佛 教的無分別智。事實上，在唯識學（玄奘思想的系統）已經把兩種方法結合在一個 連貫的整體。

性空法師簡介
性空法師(Ven. Dhammadipa)出生於捷克布拉格，精通梵文及巴利文，並會中、 英、日、法、德、印度語等十幾種語言。1986年，法師於日本，隨厚田禪師 (Harada Serrei Roshi)修習曹洞宗禪法。1987年，於斯里蘭卡剃度出家，依止那 難拉瑪大長老(Nanarama Mahatheras)座下修習南傳禪法。1989年於洛杉磯西來寺 受北傳三壇大戒。1996年赴緬甸親近當代禪修大德帕奧禪師(Pa Auk Sayadaw)修習 禪法，甚得器重，被認可可公開教導帕奧禪法。法師隨和親切，十數年來，致力於 寫作和將佛教論典翻譯成捷克文和法文，並在世界各地弘法及指導禪修，包括歐 美、台灣、中國及東南亞各國的南北傳寺院和大學，備受歡迎與推崇。法師依據 《清淨道論》中的三學、七清淨，十六觀智的次第，強調禪修者，應以「戒清淨」為 定慧二增上學的基礎，法隨法行，常願以此清淨法義及實踐經驗饒益有情。 財團法人佛陀教育基金會 敬啟
