February 9, 2016 is Losar (Tibetan Lunar New Year), beginning the year of the Fire Monkey, which is also the birth year of Guru Rinpoche, Padmasambhava. Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche has requested those who are following in the footsteps of Guru Rinpoche to accumulate recitations of the Seven Line Prayer, taking these auspicious conditions as an opportunity to think of and supplicate Guru Rinpoche.
The accumulations will be collected in three different regional groups. Each group has the same 100 million goal to reach by the end of the Monkey Year (February 26, 2017). The three groups are:
- Operation Following Your Footsteps - for all international followers (not in Tibet or Bhutan)
- Operation Skull Garland - for followers in Bhutan only
- Followers in Tibet only
Rinpoche suggests we begin chanting on October 22, 2015.

Please submit your weekly recitation counts to your regional coordinator every Saturday using the email address corresponding to your region below. Please kindly state your weekly accumulation number (not year total) in the subject field of your email.

2016年2月9日（藏历新年）将开启火猴年的到来，这也同时是莲花生大师的本命年。宗萨钦哲仁波切建议追随莲师脚步的信众，以此吉祥缘起为契机持诵《莲师七句祈请文》，忆念与对莲师祈愿。
此次的全球共同持诵将分为三个部分，各需在火猴年结束前（2017/2/26）完成一亿次的持诵目标。这三部分为：
- 藏地与不丹地区以外其他全球信众的“随汝尊“计划
- 针对不丹信众的“顱鬘”计划
- 针对藏地信众的计划
