Dear Pearl Mala Donors & Friends of Tsogyal Latso,

Tsogyal Latso, the birthplace of Khandro Yeshe Tsogyal in Tibet, is about the connection we each have in our hearts with enlightenment, the female buddhas, and the sacred feminine. This means that whether we are at Tsogyal Latso or not, our good fortune is that we can always experience Yeshe Tsogyal's blissful energy flooding our hearts. OM JNANA DAKINI!

This year, the love and gifts of the global Pearl Mala community were offered to the Tsogyal nuns on Guru Day, September 4, by a group of fourteen pilgrims from the USA, Canada, and Australia. For three days, we feasted on the sights and sounds of Tsogyal Latso—its dakini mountains and springs, magical life force lake, and the pure energy of her lighthearted nuns. Since first visiting in 2009, it's apparent that this vortex of the enlightened feminine never fails to exhilarate!

There are now fifteen nuns in the community. One is currently in retreat next to Yeshe Tsogyal's birthplace stupa and life force tree and two are caretaking Nup Sangye Yeshe's birthplace just down the road. The nuns are energetic and enjoying their lives and each other. They live mindfully and effortlessly blessed us with their generosity and contagious laughter. There have been a few changes and improvements at Tsogyal Latso and there is an overall sense of balance and harmony which comes from the power of tradition, Dharma, and metta. In my conversations with the nuns, I'm always impressed with their values of simplicity, hard work, and humility, and their dedication to preserving and sharing the legacy of Khandro Yeshe Tsogyal.

This is just a short message to let you all know that we are back from Tibet and all is well. And to once again, thank all the generous donors who made the 2014 Pearl Mala fundraiser a great success.

In a week or so, I'll be back in touch to share with you an online media presentation of our visit. This will include photos, videos, sound tracks, and testimonials. Meanwhile, please stay connected with us and remember Tsogyal Latso and the nuns in your prayers. They are remembering you.

Managalam!
